Effective: 1 January 2026
Verified PolicyOphelia Go is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We work continuously to improve the user experience for all our customers and apply the relevant accessibility standards across our platform.
1Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the international benchmark for accessible online experiences. Our goal is for every customer — regardless of ability — to browse, shop, and check out independently.
2What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML and ARIA roles across all interactive elements.
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the storefront and checkout.
- Sufficient color contrast meeting WCAG AA contrast ratios for body text.
- Visible focus indicators on buttons, links, and form fields.
- Descriptive alt text on product images and decorative icons hidden from screen readers.
- Bilingual (English & Bangla) interface so users can choose the language they're comfortable with.
3Assistive Technology Support
Ophelia Go is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of popular screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), browser zoom up to 200%, and operating-system-level high-contrast modes. We test on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge across desktop and mobile.
4Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, parts of our platform are still being improved. The following areas have known accessibility limitations that we are actively addressing:
- Some seller-uploaded product images may lack descriptive alt text — we're working with sellers to improve this.
- Auto-rotating banners on the homepage have pause controls but may need additional ARIA live region improvements.
- Third-party payment iframes (bKash, Nagad, card gateways) follow their own accessibility standards which are outside our direct control.
5Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Ophelia Go. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please tell us — your report helps us prioritize fixes. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days.
6Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. We review this statement annually and after major platform updates. New features ship with accessibility checks built into our review process — we won't ship something that excludes part of our community.
